Hey, it's Thursday... *Awkward* I have my moments when I just can't help it but post it like today today. Ever had that sort of excitement?

You see, since I'm into travel photography - I needed a camera that's ummm... strong. You know, that can really keep up with whatever situation. I can be very reckless, if you get what I mean. Hehehe... I do fancy of owning a much 'pro' looking camera. It looks stylish. Haha. But it's the 'I want it but I don't need it (right now)' sort of thing.

Strong camera, ey? Let's see.

Narrowing it down after a few brand models and considering a low-end budget range - Fujifilm and Olympus were going up against each other. Good news - It was a tie.

I had to make a decision and at last, this is what I got! Geez, I got a new camera - "Olympus TG 310". Okay, there's actually a much recent model "TG 320" but still, YAY! I picked this because the brand name sounded better and included red as one of their color selection whilst the other did not. Sowwee... Red is still my camera color choice.

The interesting part is where I got it. :) I think I've been infected with OSV = online shopping virus. Anyhoos... Since I already know how to transfer my $$ easily, I purchased it online from Miyamondo which I came across via http://lelong.com.my. hehehe. It only cost MYR590.00 nett (shipment MYR12). Since it's my first time dealing with them, I self-collected it. Well, just in case.

Yes, it is new but not local warranty. However, the salesgirl actually mentioned to show a receipt with the 12-month warranty card - in case anything happens to the camera. I dunno about you guys, but I normally don't give a damn and just throw away that piece of warranty card. So, it's not an issue for me. But of course, I will keep it this time around. Who knows?

The basic stuffs are in the box - don't worry and yes, the a typical wrist strap too, sweetie. But let me disappoint you now. In case you're wondering, the price tag excludes Memory Card (which I don't need because I have two - 256MB and 1GB at home which I find more than enough for my snaps) and case (which ain't really a biggy to me).

I find it funny trying to get used to with it's rubber button though. Now, the important thing about this camera is:

1) IT IS WATERPROOF up to 3m (10ft) - accidentally spill a glass of water or kicked it inside the pool? No worries now. I can actually take it along with me while snorkeling and going under the sea.

2) IT IS SHOCKPROOF of up to 1.5m (5ft) - accidentally dropped it on the floor while trying to self-portrait or slipped off from your grip to the ground?

3) IT IS FREEZEPROOF down to -10 degree Celcius - ummm, accidentally placed it inside the freezer?

4) IT IS DUSTPROOF - sandy beach, bring it on!

4) Resolution: 14MP

5) Weight: 155g

6) Dimension: 3.8"W x 2.5"H x 0.9"D (96.3mm x 63.4mm x 22.7mm)

It's a sort of camera that I do not need to pamper or be gentle and take extra extra care. It's a tough one. But still, I will keep it safe with me during any rough road less taken stuffs. It's going to be my next reliable documentary witness mate. Damn, what took me sooooo long to think about this sort of camera? Where the hell was I? *bangs head on wall*

I know you like it too and wondering, "Why didn't I think about that?" :)

Honestly, I am particular when it comes to camera and I pick what I feel that's right for me - that is all.

Now. Just for fun, I got a mini tripod (iLens) - I got it online too *ahem ahem* for only MYR10 (MYR6 for shipment) from newspeed (the store is the same as miyamondo actually) which I came across at the same lelong site. Psst, I requested the despatch to collect for me. Thanks to him.

But what's going on?? Nah, nothing much really. :p Think I'm gonna write everything JUST LIKE THAT? Hmm...
